In the summer of 2011 this anthology made it's way into the Library of The Edgar Allan Poe Museum - because of the Legend Keeper controversy. Lulu.com locked the doors on Lake Fossil Press so the fight begins to get my back catalog files back from them so I can issue and republish them with Createspace.com.
"Tabloid Purposes interacts with this one and with IV"; the seeds for this kind of anthology lay with an e-mail exchange with my mentor Robert Raven of Litrix Publishing -- one of the stories was published in an omnibus he did of William Hope Hodgson. The anthology's idea of a mixed era project came when I was working on Tabloid Purposes 3 -- Edgar Allan Poe's The Black Cat was originally planned to be included with Tabloid Purposes in the planning stages. Passenger is from the same era as the story in this anthology -- both are exclusive to the anthologies. This anthology in question is the United States debut of "Ghosts In The Tornado."
This version everything is almost the same as the lulu.com version except this has one more touch - the photo of the magazine that this story I designed the anthology around. This version is priced a little cheaper than the lulu.com version. But the fight begins to get everything in circulation. This anthology as the Poe Museum said to the Joliet Herald News is a history of the horror genre from the 19th Century, the 20th, and the first decade of the modern era. The public domain counterparts you will recognize but some of the stories you may not.
If anything I am the curator of this project and the title author. This has a very rarely anthologized story in the 2010 reboot version by H. P. Lovecraft and was designed for a story that was originally published in the UK and the copyright version of this will show the photo of this one. (In 2010 I had been dragged into a plagiarism scandal when David Boyer scammed me with two submissions. The asshole turned around and plagiarized me with my story, "A Mind Of Illness." I sent a message to Boyer when I took his story out, and the original closing author took a shit on me too. Exit that jagoff enter the breakout with an opus out of the box -- I pulled a Metallica move on that one when they had to throw out Dave Mustaine. So I introduced an author who is from Gurnee, Illinois, originally. This anthology is noted being I met two of the authors before they joined me. The lead author was my Gothicfest 2007 signing mate, Scott Savage, known for a funny vampire story -- first and very rarely publishing something that darkly humorous. "The vampire could very easy had gone to Disco Demolition Night at Comisky Park. All of the 2007 and part of 2008 I was spotted with a Chicago White Sox cap.") Along with a photo of me on the town on New Years Eve 2007/2008 on the spine of this one.
The original Tabloid Purposes interacts with the first namesake and Tabloid Purposes IV now as you will see the timeline of S. G. Cardin and Lake Fossil are two years apart in chronology. Her story is set in 1991-1992; the era of my five year memoir as Passenger is set in 1992. It falls on the era of the story in the second namesake. Ghosts in the Tornado I had to apologize for the People of Zion, Illinois, for this one because if I set this in Plainfield, Illlinois, I might be chased out of Will County. My tumblr.com blog and other blog goes into detail about how I came to choose W. W. Jacobs' The Monkey's Paw and Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow as I learned that this has artwork in The Smithsonian. Washington Irving would been 37 years old when he wrote his story. H. P. Lovecraft with his story and my entry -- we were both 29 years old. Ghosts in the Tornado was the final story I wrote in my twenties. The second collection were all within my late twenties.
