Nice People — Clare Curzon

The commuter village of Fords Green appears to contain ordinary families with ordinary troubles. But beneath the calm surface of this pleasant community swirls a dangerous undertow of jealousy, greed and murder. As Detective-Inspector Angus Mott views the first body, he suspects that they are 'on to a weirdo'. The dead man was last seen at a charity ball attended by local glitterati, and now his wife and stepson cannot be found. Then a second, less recent corpse is discovered and complex links between the killings implicate a scorned ex-husband. But other suspects are to hand. Was the dead woman the victim of a harsh local CID man, of an unstable teenager, of her ex-employer, even of the first-found but more recent cadaver? Can there be more than one killer?
