Mysterious Summer

The house was dark. Not a light, not a sound beyond the pattering of rain. Lora bit her lip. Surely is was alright to enter her great aunt's home, Shoving the door open, she stepped inside. She found herself in a long, dark, uncarpeted hallway. And she was not alone.

A tall figure with a round white face stared boldly, silently, with huge glittering eyes that shone like glass.

What Lora expected was a peaceful summer. What she got was a tangle of mystery, danger…and romance.
