These fables are restored from translated fragments of cuneiform writings dating to between 2000 B.C. and 1500 B.C. Cuneiform is the oldest form of writing, invented in the nation of Sumer. In these old fables are many witty sayings and sentiments referring to animals. The best of them are wonderful little stories. They all have something to convey direct from the ancient world into our own.
