On the first day of the new year at Morgan's new school, he wears new everything--even new underwear. He might as well have a sign on his forehead that says "New Kid."
So he needs new friends above all, but starts the day by crossing Aldeen Hummel, the Godzilla of Grade Three. To impress his new schoolmates Morgan stretches the truth, telling them he's an auto mechanic, a rock'n'roll drummer, a juggler, a magician. He fools Aldeen with a magic trick, and suddenly the other kids want to see him perform all his "talents," all at once. Finally Morgan has to tell the truth to them all, starting with Aldeen Hummel.
Morgan Makes Magic is a story about the difficulty of adapting to new situations, and how friends--old and new--can make it easier.
