She was no longer Miss Deborah Jones
Now they called her Laughing Flame.
Gone was the naive English girl, with the white skin and bright red hair, a girl who knew nothing of life or love. In her place was a strong Navajo woman dressed in buckskins and standing by her man - the half-breed Navajo scout, Adam-Leap-the-Mountain.
Deborah never looked back. She would have done anything for her adopted people; for he wild and brave husband she would have broken her heart...
...and she very nearly did.
