Two unlikely friends, a lizard named Moe, and a gecko named MaGee, set out on an adventure to build a secret fort. They pick the grandest lemon tree in the field, and work together to build a fine secret fort. However, they are not satisfied with their fort and decide that it must be larger. In their quest to make the fort the largest and grandest possible, they destroy the very tree they are building it in. Moe and MaGee learn a lesson that "bigger is not always best".
This children's poem is illustrated with quilt scraps in more than twenty fabric and paint collages that give it a wonderfully unique look. The characters are delightful and determined in their mission to build a secret meeting fort for the Fabulous Reptilian Trust.
