Close ties bound lovely Jan Kellogg to her sister Gail, The two were identical twins, and in some strange way knew each other's feelings without a word being spoken. Now Jan sensed guilt and fear tormenting her sister, and she had to find the reason why.

Jan realized Gail was suffering since ending her marriage that had been a mistake. But that could not explain the specter of violence and danger that haunted Jan's sister, and soon threatened Jan herself. For the moment, Jan even had to forget about deciding between the two handsome men who were battling for her heart. She needed all her woman's strength and wisdom to search through a labyrinth of mystery for the secret that would free Gail and herself from this terrifying nightmare, and let them both find their way to the happiness and love they yearned for.
