In this book, we also meet Jack, a detective in a large city who relocated back to his roots for a fresh start and a last-ditch effort to save his dying marriage. Jack takes the position of the police chief and finds himself and a long-time friend and anthropologist smack-dab in the middle of trying to locate this missing child. In their search, they encounter the unexpected and meet the most loveable character that I've ever encountered! Una will pull at your heartstrings, and Eve Paludan writes this character in such a way that makes you think that Sasquatches really do exist. If you are a fan of Harry and the Hendersons, you will love this book! So glad this is not a standalone book!
