Willie a mental health consumer in the mental ward at Brainerd State Hospital is not your average person but has a special ability to tell the past of the rest of the people on the ward which he does with great success, but to a more thrilling effect when it comes to psychotic cop killer Walter Recusant from Bemidji who is bent on making them all pay for what they did to his brother and who is coming to the hospital in a different way. Walter with the help of a lot of luck and a mysterious citizen lashes out at what he perceives as his latest set of bullies, police and the people and staff at the State Hospital. Contrasted with Gabe, a Messianic Jew who escapes the hospital in time to save himself, but is not very much more than convincing with his plan to save the world for the Mental Health consumers of his day. Get to know these characters and Walter Recusant, compare the differences for they are at the heart of the mentally ill vs. psychotic killer debate of our day too, but mostly remember it is fiction and therefore meant primarily to entertain.
