Martian Fever — Thomas King

     Martian Fever is about life on Mars from the year 2025 and beyond. Although the Red Planet has a hostile atmosphere made up of mostly carbon dioxide, Mankind will terraform it to contain breathable air. The ice which exists on the poles will be used for water and rocket fuel. But, what kind of a society will exist on Mars? The human desire for power and wealth  will determine how we treat one another. With limitless supplies of rare and precious metals on Mars, the race will be on. Greedy for the  gold and silver, people on Earth will swarm to Mars like another California Gold Rush. Will they discover that alien beings  reside there and don't want Earthlings on their planet?      Generations of children born into the Miller family possess a rare and valuable gift that is passed on from generation to generation. Precognitive visions allow some family members to see into the future and change the outcome of future events. How will this change the future?      Sammy Miller and the crew of the spacecraft Pioneer 1 are pathfinders to the future on Mars. What they find upon arrival there will traumatize all  Mankind!      What will happen back on Earth after millions of people leave the ailing planet? The beautiful Earth with fresh, crisp air to breath and clear, delicious water to drink. Will it burn up in the hell of global warming or be rescued from that plight?       No one can predict the future. Or can they? Will Mankind destroy another planet or change his ways?
