Denise can feel someone watching her. She sees a pair of headlights blaze as she says goodnight to her friend, attorney Harlan Reyes. Then the phone calls begin. "You're alone now, Mrs. Burns. Are you sure your children are safe?" She is very much alone. Divorced fashion model Denise Burns lives for her two young children and her coming remarriage. But her fiance is out of town and the caller knows it. He knows everything about her, even the moment she turns out her light. The next day she learns Harlan Reyes was shot to death soon after they parted. A reporter pursues her with questions. Denise was among the last to see him alive. When one of her children nearly dies, she flees with them to the farm where her married sister lives. Too late, she discovers flight is impossible. The watching eyes have followed her. The family is cut off from any help or escape as the shadowy menace closes in. One man can save them if he can find them in time. But Denise, who could not hide from the watcher, has hidden all too successfully from the man who loves her. The man she could not trust.

Denise felt the eyes, watching her. She saw the headlights blaze as she said good night to her friend, attorney Harlan Reyes, and hurried up the stairs to her apartment and her two small children.

That night, the telephone calls began. A rasping whisper spoke her name, "Mrs. Burns, you're alone now, aren't you? Are you afraid? Are you sure your children are safe?"

She was alone. Divorced for nearly a year, fashion model Denise Burns lived for her children and her coming remarriage. But her fiance was out of town that week on family business. And the caller seemed to know it. He knew everything about her, even the very moment she turned out her light. Because he was there. Watching.

The next day she is accosted by a reporter. He wants to ask about her friend...Harlan Reyes...shot to death during the night outside his apartment. Denise was one of the last to see him alive. For the reporter, that means news. For Denise it means isolation. There is no longer anyone who can help her.

When the threats become a reality and one of her children nearly dies, she flees with them to the farm where she grew up, and where her sister and brother-in-law now live.

Too late, she discovers that flight is impossible. The watching eyes have followed her. Disaster engulfs the entire household. They are cut off from any help or escape as the shadowy menace closes in on them.

Only one man can save them--if he can find them in time. But Denise, who could not hide from the watcher, had hidden all too successfully from the man who loves her. The man she could not trust.
