Man from Montana — Ann Edgeworth

"You're my woman, Avon, I'll be coming to claim you.' To motherless Avon Meredith, fresh from England and traveling West to live with her uncle and aunt in the wild state of Montana in the 1880's, helping fellow passenger Ken Grant to escape possibly unjust punishment is no more than she would have done for anyone in trouble. Not realizing the repercussions of that encounter, she sound settles to her new life on her uncle's farm.
