LaVaughn needs a part-time job. Something she could do after school to help earn money for college. Jolly needs a babysitter. Someone she could trust with two kids while she works the evening shift.
It doesn't matter that LaVaughn is fourteen years old -- only three years younger than Jolly. What matters is that LaVaughn gives Jolly and her two babies more love and understanding than anyone else will. Life is a struggle for all of them. But together they might make it through.
