Madame Maigret's Own Case // Friend of Madame Maigret
Madame Maigret's trip to the dentist brings surprising insight to a baffling case.

On rue de Turenne, two human teeth are found in the furnace of a Flemish bookbinder, who is quickly taken into custody. Blood stains a blue suit hanging in the suspect's closet, yet he denies ownership. A strangely heavy suitcase found in his workshop vanishes. A neighboring shoemaker is willing to talk but changes his story with successive trips to the local tavern. It seems that a crime has been committed, but without a corpse the case seems impossibly perplexing until Madame Maigret leaves her kitchen to lend the Chief Inspector an able hand.
