Merilyn is a thirty-something elementary school teacher at an international school in Korea. She loves the excitement and challenge of working with her multi-ethnic students. Sure, she'd like to be married some day, but she's content where she's at.

Until her sister calls with a strange proposal, a blind-date scenario with a friend of a friend's son.

Tedd is a widower with two elementary-aged children. He is managing fine, but his mother has other ideas. A single letter out of the blue throws his world into a tailspin. He's not ready to date, and he can't fathom trying to get to know someone so far away. And what will his kids think?

Can love be found so far from home?

Author Info:
This story was first written for the author's sister, who used to make up happy endings for all of her friends and the guys they were interested in. This first novella has motivated the author to continue writing after leaving stacks of unfinished stories in a box from her teen-aged years.

Susan makes her home in Japan with her missionary husband and their three young children. She loves reading Christian fiction, trying out new recipes, reading out loud with changing voices, doing ventriloquism, and playing piano. Too silly to be romantic herself, she lives vicariously through her book characters.
