Wang has been in love with Zhang for two years now. One day he comes into work to find out that she is taking the bar exam and might be leaving. Feeling depressed a friend offers him a reprieve and the seduction of young Zhang begins Chinese restaurant style! "Funny beyond belief!"

"You heard about Zhang yet?" he asked.
Wang hadn't heard her come in today, but he thought she might be just taking her time again.
"No, what's up? Is she sick tonight? Do we have a replacement coming from the temp company?"
"Nah, nothing like that, mate. She's doing her law exam today."
Wang paused in his counting. Zhang had gone to university for four years before coming to help at the restaurant. He thought she had given up on it.
"Really?" he asked. Why is she doing the test, he wondered.
"Yeah, she's gonna be a real deal lawyer soon from what I hear," James said happily.
"What? She's thinking about leaving?" Wang asked in concern.
"Oh, didn't you know? Big daddy said it was ok. He's letting her get on with her life finally."
James and Zhang got along well. This was not a joke.
Wang put his head against the cold frame of the shelving in front of him. He looked down at the floor and saw the ice build up there. James gave him a funny look from the door.
"Are you alright, buddy? Too much to drink at home or something?"
Wang nodded his head. He was drunk on the pain of the idea of Zhang leaving him.
