"Lost Shadow" is story #6 in "The Bethesda Wars"
In a secret Compound in Bethesda an unsure Father Black is ready to give one of his most extraordinary Talents-Subject Kelly, also known as the Shadowman-another chance to prove he is stable enough to be released from the pyramid that has imprisoned him.
Father Black tells him: there is a girl that must be brought into the fold. I will let you release your shadow to help bring her in. Do this, and it will help you earn your freedom.
All does not go according to plan however, and when the body the Shadowman occupies is killed by a Scout his shadow is displaced. And it is up to his brother, Subject Atticus, to bring him back.
"Lost Shadow" brings the beginning of "The Bethesda Wars" full circle. We see how many of the characters of the earlier novellas were in the background in "Branches", manipulating and altering the outcome.
"Lost Shadow" combines all the elements of "The Bethesa Wars": a thrilling tale of extraordinary, impossible people still remain believable and real.
