Continue the military dystopian series Friends of my Enemy with Loss, Part 7 of Stories from the War.

An altered decision results in the loss of most of the Guard's equipment, soldiers, and Captain in 2062, leaving Europe vulnerable to the enemies shrinking her borders. But the blast that destroys the heart of Europe's armed forces also dismantles a portion of the FLF. And it reveals how they've been resupplying.



As the emergency government debates surrender, Arinna Prescot formulates a plan to buy time to rebuild the military. It will risk the tattered fragments of her life and the Guard in one gambit to save Europe or reduce them to defeat. And to pull it off, she'll have to start with a mutiny.



Set in Europe, this series unfolds through the intersecting lives of a small handful of people and explores adult themes, both dark and hopeful, of friendship, romance, and family, including how these influences direct everyday choices, which ripple outwards to impact governments on the verge of war. Because not all influence is good, and not all decisions can be made in time.
