Synopsis - Loose ThreadsAnnie is a retired journalist.  But retired doesn't mean she's rusted out!  Her investigative instincts remain as sharp as ever. So when she unexpectedly finds notice of a death in another state and realises it is a woman she met way back in the 70s, she's curious.  Very curious.  From what she's gathered from the social posts, this was a vastly different woman to the one back then.  So different that her ears begin to tingle.  A sure sign that there was a story here, waiting to be discovered.  And Annie never ignores her ears.What she discovers, eventually, is no less than a red-hot-potato.  A story that will eventually topple a major crime ring. A story that is going to need more resources than she now has access to.  She shares her information with BB, an old friend and ex-AFP officer who in turn brings in a colleague of his working days but still in the force.  In fact, James is a career law enforcement officer, now ranked at a very high level. A very high level indeed.Between them, they come to realise that all the little threads of the story that they tease out, come from a common seam. That a death listed as accidental, was actually a crime.  One that intersects with other crimes.
