A SEASON TO REMEMBER

The digging season of 1895-96 promised to be a wonderful one: Amelia Peabody, her irascible and doting husband Emerson, and their hell-raising--and precocious--eight-year-old son Ramses were off to Egypt. And true to his word, Emerson was giving Amelia a pyramid (albeit a small one) of her own to excavate. The only shadow was the threat hurled by Amelia into the face of the Master Criminal, the man responsible for their near demise the last time they were in Egypt: "I will hunt you down and put an end to your nefarious activities."

The challenge is answered! As much as Sethos wants to deal in antiquities, as much as he will go to any length to reach his ends, there is something the Master Criminal wants more than riches.
