Bernice Speerman convinces her husband Charles to go to the police after three men accuse him of blackmailing them. Each man receives a letter referring to the death of Nathan Mattley fourteen years earlier when they were all teens and part of a group named the Legends. Nathan allegedly died while trying to become a member, and the anonymous letter writer threatens that if they don't pay up he'll release details relating to Nathan's death.

Bernice's fear comes true when Charles is shot and killed just a few days later. NYPD Detective Stanley Davison asks Spy4U private investigator Amy Bell for her help.

Amy discovers that Charles's investment company had been struggling, leading to the accusation that he's behind the blackmail.
