Welcome to the wonderful world of the 12 inch tall Gickens. The Gickens have been living in dead oak trees out in the woods, but are running out of food. They also have always been told to stay away from the big people. One day while Mac was out looking for food, a big person is about to cut down the tree that one of the families is living in. Without thinking, he lets himself be seen by the big people. This book tells the story of how the Gickens and the big people learn to get along and share there lives.
