Legends
The wizard empire of the destroyer was forged in fire and blood. They were raised in the muck and blood of battle. Wizards have fought, they have been broken and they have risen. And they began as children looking up to their elder brother. Taking them in hand Slayer will lead them onto the battlefield, into murder and mayhem. They will lose their innocence. Their souls are still up for grabs.

Excerpt

The Slayer mastered the Art of the Reigh long before the first wizards were born and he had much to teach us. Much of the Reigh and how it might be used. He taught us how to bend the world to our will, how to mold the stuff of reality to our whim. He taught us that the power of the Reigh was limited only by our ability to imagine what might be done, and how it might be accomplished. He taught us that with the right spell and enough power anything was possible. Then he proved it.

And then he taught us what happens when we went too far. When we assumed that wishing was wanting were enough.

To wield the power of destruction and creation requires arrogance or we would be paralyzed with indecision and fear. To wield it well we must balance arrogance with humility so that we do not lose sight of the world around us. Or worse ourselves. The first of us to die did so by his own hand. He tried to move too much heat at once without properly adjusting the construction of his spell. He thought that it was enough simply to add more power. Death showed him he was wrong.

We did not understand this new thing called death. Only that we had lost a brother and we could not find him. Slayer taught us the meaning of death. Life is the most precious thing any living being has, and yet death always comes and takes it away. She is a greedy lonely thing that will hold you tight to her cold breast. The only thing we can do is live well until then and make the most of our time here. We have not always lived up to those words, but we have tied.
