Here we see four children, all simple yet complex in their own ways, dealing with their everyday confusing lives. What makes them confused? They don't really know who their father is. For that matter, they don't know if he's good, evil, or possibly dead. They almost cry themselves to sleep, wishing they'd get at least a day with him, and to make matters worse their mother's just as much not around to help them understand why they are stuck living with only two Huskies. And when thinking it would be just another day, tragedy strikes.
