Legend of the Memory Keeper: Relic's Bane — Paul Wesley La Canfora
Story of a boy named Porey Range who lives in an extraordinary time when all good thoughts and memories and standing for truth is being stolen away into Forgetfulness. Only one person in all of history is gifted to be a Memory Keeper. He is challenged when he encounters a peculiar whirlwind and his world of Remembrance begins to disappear. His visit with Grandma Collins and Auntie Marylyn reveal secrets to how unique he is just before they vanish. He earnestly records in his journal the rapid events that happened so he won't forget those memories of those the day before.
Porey learns that his faithful horse Ranger is an extraordinarily gifted creature. Porey discovers that the enemy at work is named Relic. As Porey's world begins to disappear, he is swept away in a fast moving adventure through different worlds in search of clues, riddles and answers to where he came from. Since childhood I have created fantasy worlds in my mind. I enrolled into The Institute for Children's Literature. Since then I have written several stories and books for my children that I have yet to pursue for publication.
My hope for readers is to have their imaginations swept away into an unexpected adventure so when they finish each page they will sit back with satisfaction and the sense that they lived it and identified with the characters.
I was instrumental in my communities historical society in providing much needed leg work for the book, Gold Mining in the Crafton Hills. In my research I was able to identify and dig up artifacts that currently are on display in a local Museum. I have been married for 23 years and have 3 children in whom I love deeply. We live in southern California and enjoy the outdoors.
