Leafing — John Hale

Leafing chronicles the frenzied journey of Gabriel St. John as he searches for meaning, both in life, and in the loss of his brother who disappeared during a fiery explosion; along the way Gabriel learns that for generations his family has played a part in determining whether there is any humanity left in humans. Gabriel begins unwillingly traveling through time to piece together the lessons from his ancestors, each one knowing more than the last, about an event that could change everything.
