An ex-Army ranger turned computer genius finds a crack in a cybersecurity wall of a giant bank, and robs currency speculator Stavros Sachs of billions. Unable to trace the money or even prove the theft happened, Sachs hires deadly ex-STASI executioner Baron Ernst von Stettin to find his money, and then bring him the hacker's head on a pike. The problem is, no one can locate the thief. His identity is altered, and his trail is cold in a maze of cyberchange: name, personal history, biometrics, DNA--all gone, wiped from every record. Data-dead, the hacker's true identity is buried in plain sight. Who could find his tomb and force him out into the daylight?
