Lawrence the Locomotive — Richard Greene

Lawrence the Locomotive is a story of a high-tech engine that is self-aware and relates to people and his surroundings. What makes Lawrence unique is that he sees, hears, talks and loves being with people. Lawrence's love of people helps him as he and Mike battle the ravages of winter to save the Diablo Valley in its time of crisis. Lawrence usually works picking up and delivering freight on the Bay Point Railroad with his friend Mike. When an unseasonable set of snow storms strikes the Diablo Valley, Lawrence and Mike are called upon to help bring much-needed supplies to the people of the Diablo Valley. In his adventure, Lawrence and Mike, his engineer, make friends and show what friendship and sacrifice are about.
