Krollia — Steven Donahue

After her younger brother's mysterious death, 15-year-old Mia Sword accidentally travels through a magical antique mirror to the mystical world of Krollia. She is met there by Narlands, a race of diminutive people who live in a desert world under the tyrannical rule of Emperor Rol the Ruthless.Mia learns that the ruler hordes the planet's scarce water supply to remain in power. The Narlands also tell her that their ancient texts predicted her arrival and that she will help lead a rebellion against the emperor. As she learns to fight, Mia wonders if she has the courage to spearhead the uprising, and if she will ever find her way home.
