The job of taste tester is a dangerous one.

Mari Ramirez, restaurateur and dog owner, enters her family's secret salsa recipe into a cooking competition in hopes of winning enough money to fix a broken fryer. When one of the judges drops dead after taking a bite of her entry, Mari's deadly salsa becomes the talk of the town. With the help of her mischievous brothers and a bulldog named Tabasco, Mari sets out to clear her family name. But in the process, she runs into a killer. Will Mari stop history from repeating itself or will she too fall victim to a deadly bite of salsa?
