"Undo the handcuffs now, boys," Mom said in that calm controlled voice.

"You did it!" I said to my little brother. He nodded.

"Great, let's go."

"Wait!" Mom called.

Benjy stopped. I grabbed his hand and pulled.

"Steven, Benjamin, where are you going?" Mom demanded. "You can't leave me like this."

I shoved Benjy through the front door and turned back to her. "We'll be back, Mom. We just want you to get used to it."

"Used to what?" Mom asked.

"Being our prisoner."
