Jessica and Bertie — Lynne Pickering

Jessica and Bertie is an endearing sweet story about an unusual friendship about a little girl and a pelican.Jessica is in grade one at school and is a keen photographer. Her father is in the army overseas and gave her the camera. On her first school holiday with her mother she befriends a pelican and she saves him from a disaster when he is tangled in fishing line. A few days later Bertie the pelican saves Jessica from drowning. This delightful story has wonderful fine art type paintings and will delight all children and parents alike.
