DIANE LEANED OUT OVER THE EDGE OF THE OLD BELL TOWER...
"My God!" she gasped. "What a long way down!"
And then as she started to straighten up, she heard a scuffling noise behind her and felt a hand press firmly against the snall of her back.
She felt herself falling then, her whole being swung out over the edge of the rampart. Hopelessly seized by vertigo, she simply hung there, forever it seemed, suspended helplessly in the fear and terror over vast, empty, bottomless space....
