Sarah Davenport's brother has lost his entire fortune to the sinister Lord Percival. Lord Percival implies he will accept Sarah in lieu of the debt, but he also demands a huge sum of money from Greg -- the one man Sarah could ever love. But as Greg seems to be unofficially engaged to Sarah's best friend, she must try to maintain her honor and not be disloyal to her friend.
