A razor-witted satire of Hollywood and the American Dream. Broke, silver-tongued producer Jake Borden wants to make it big in Hollywood. Unfortunately, his business, luxury car and other luxuries purchased with borrowed cash are about to be taken away -- until he meets a talented young actress suffering from life-threatening anorexia. The gears in Jake's mind start turning, and a plan forms: if he can nurse this girl back to health, she'll be perfect for a biopic of a famous singer. But as Jake's plan pushes him to the summit of Hollywood success and the American Dream he also finds that at the top, the sharks get bigger -- and sometimes the smaller fish get eaten.
