Eli is an 11-year-old boy who tells his grandfather that an imagination is a useless thing to have. Useless! Grandfather is shocked and knows that he has to teach Eli why his imagination is an important part of him. As Grandfather starts to teach Eli how to use his imagination, a fish-drawn carriage pulls up outside to take Eli to Imagica. Alder and Allaria are his guides in this imagination-filled land and Eli learns that using his imagination is useful and fun. When it is time to go home Eli also learns to take his imagination very seriously. He has lost a trinket that will help him get home and must rely on his imagination to get there. Has he learned enough to get home, or will he be stuck in Imagica forever?
