A teen-aged girl and her girl friend are out on the town, driving to a movie. When she gets a text, she tries to read it, even though she has been warned not to. She loses control of the car and hits another vehicle head on. A small baby riding in the other car dies from a broken neck. The other driver, the baby's father, promises the girl that he's "I'm gonna kill you." From then on, he plans ways to carry out what is now his life's mission.
