If Only It Was A Dream — Gary Robinson

These words stolen from my journal are my thoughts, dreams, stories and fantasies. Some are meant for public consumption and while others for private seductions. Regardless of their content or purpose, all are my own. Beginning with echoes of unspoken thoughts and ending as rhythmic words.
In the first poem, are emotions some try to lock away and never have surface but, as we all know, there is no such thing as “never”. Though as hard as we try, those tainted feelings will eventually rise into consciousness. Those emotions slowly and silently take over our everyday lives to prove we may not be as strong as we hope and would believe.
However, the rest contained within these bindings are meant to cover a varied range of emotion. If all emotions can be felt within the contents of one collection, then true art has been achieved. My purpose is to evoke emotions hidden in the depths of the readers being and to stir them into an enlightening confection.
