How to Translate a Novel — Michael F. Capobianco

Alda and Rafael meet at a literary conference, decide to translate a novel together, fall in love with the novel, and with each other. What happens between them is paralleled by the story of the novel they are translating, and also by a story of Rafael's which he reads at the conference. Hence this book is an intertwining of three parallel stories of love. Both Rafael's story, and the novel they are translating contain elements of the fantastic and science fiction while the story of their love is realistic.
