Hoodles' Day in The Woods is about a family of rabbits who enjoy life in the woods. On this day the father takes his two young ones into the woods to explore and learn. Discovery, danger and beauty are very close to the three rabbits. Before they go into the woods, they have to pass by Mr. Noble's home. They see Mr. Noble, the mole, looking at them from his window. They also have to visit Mr. Puggy, the turtle, and Professor Miggles. In the woods, Spunkie must run from a wild boar and hide in a hollow tree until his dad comes back to rescue him. Spunkie and Ivy learn about spiders, butterflies, and other kinds of insects, bugs and animals. They discover a toy car in some leaves. They talk about Spunkie wanting to fly. Ivy brings home a little bug and a clover in her pocket. The pictures in this book are beautiful and fun. Any child will love to read this little book.
