Colorado TV personality Eleanora Martin hurt country singer Ben Kolter when she severely panned his comeback record.

He quickly got even. He recorded a song about her, mocking her cool TV image, and it soon climbed the charts all across the country.

Eleanora felt used, but as she came to know Ben better she felt a tangle of other emotions. For the cowboy singer and the sophisticated television critic found they had something in common -- a need for each other. A truly impossible need.
