'Here She Comes Now' is a collection of three short stories about modern relationships and family tensions, with a focus on dialogue.
The title story 'Here She Comes Now' (never before published) is a transcript from a household under surveillance. 'Close to You' (2001) is about two siblings' burning secret. 'DIN' (2005) splices moments from real and on-screen dramas in Los Angeles.
Chad Taylor was born in New Zealand. He is the author of the novels Pack of Lies, Heaven, Shirker, Electric and Departure Lounge and the short story collection The Man Who Wasn't Feeling Himself. He was a Buddle Findlay Sargeson Fellow in 2001 and the Auckland University Literary Fellow in 2003. Heaven was made into a feature film by Miramax, and his novels and short stories have been translated into several languages. His most recent novel is The Church of John Coltrane.
