Logan Malloy is the new interim preacher who will sit in for Pastor Fred who's retiring. But the pastoring is a cover-up for why he's really there. He's there to find out if Becky is the long lost daughter of his client and if her aunt had kidnapped her as an infant. Meanwhile, Becky's aunt is acting crazy and doesn't trust the new preacher.
Not your typical suspense really. The suspense surrounds Becky's identity. The author takes us on many twist and turns through the story, and just when it seems everything's figured out...everything changes! This was so good because it kept me guessing what the truth really was up to the very end. I was very happy to see how it all turned out.
Very light on the romance. Becky's identity overshadowed everything else. I think there was enough there to make it believable, but there wasn't much build-up to it. Still, it was sweet to see how the two came together.
