The Hawker Chronicles is the history of an English family from 1590 to the present day. 'Hawker Cavalier' covers the years from 1642 -1707. The English Civil War has broken out. Inigo Hawker enlists in the King's Army, falls in love with the Colonel's wife and the Queen of England, fights in four battles and a duel, is involved in a new Gunpowder Plot and travels round the world.
