Phillip Harper was just like any normal teenager - he felt awkward, his body was weird, girls terrified him and the school bully tortured his best friend. Yet, all that wouldn't matter soon - it was almost summer vacation. Phillip and his best friend, Whizzy, were about to embark on the greatest summer of their lives. Phillip headed to the Whizzenmog mansion for the first day of summer. He was so excited - that was until he stepped outside to find it was raining. That meant no baseball. He and Whizzy settled for playing video games instead. After Phillip got bored and Whizzy lost, they sprinted for the basement. The Whizzenmogs basement was the coolest place in the world, well at least Greenville. They had played there thousands of time. How would they know that this time it would change their lives forever? When the boys entered the basement they discovered Whizzy's twin sister, Rachel. Within moments, a snake attacked her. It wraps itself around Rachel's legs and dragged her into a magical portal that now spun where the sliding glass door had been. Confused and alarmed Phillip and Whizzy attempted to free her from the snake's grip, but couldn't. Rachel was dragged into the portal and disappeared. Uncertain what to do, Phillip and Whizzy discover this day will bring more surprises. After the portal vanished, the boys found an eagle awaiting them at the door. The eagle took them through the same portal to another world...the Land of Mistasia. Once, in Mistasia, Phillip transformed into a frog and Whizzy a red fox. Together, with the help of the eagle, Grace Tallon, who transformed into an elf, they must find Rachel and save her.
