"You're an outsider " Jim Melton was told and he found it to be true. How can a man go from outsider to acceptance with a congregation and God? Jim Melton, the new pastor of Pine Ridge Baptist Church has to figure it out - and soon Jim is a city boy from Charlotte and baffled by country living and country ways. Rumors spread that he is having intimate relations with a redhead. Someone starts a rumor that Jim is gay. A swastika is painted on his front door. His only support is from two strange sisters that don't attend Pine Ridge. Even fellow pastors tell Jim he is an outsider and doesn't belong. Jim questions if God brought him to Pine Ridge or he accepted their call out of desperation. Will he always be an outsider?
