★★★★★ This series gets better with every book, which probably breaks one of the laws of physics or something. The lives of G&C London, Leeds' best magical investigators (well, only magical investigators, but same thing), have only got more complicated. There's the werewolf pack, and the very unwilling out-of-body experiences. The kraken and the Sea Witch. Plus the small matter of ravenous old gods and the end of the world. They still don't have a plan, but they do have a motley assortment of allies, and if anyone's going to end this world it'll be them, probably by accident … Packed with snarky cats, unruly magic, and terrible jokes, this urban fantasy series is perfect for readers who like their magic with a side of chaos. But don't be fooled — the cases are serious, and the dangers are very real.Lost reapers, enraged pirates, and hellhounds are one thing. Old, buried secrets are far more dangerous, and more likely to bite … So, grab some grog (or custard) and settle in. The end of the world is coming, and the fur's going to fly …  A Worry of Weres: Werewolves. Mouth-breathing, ravening monsters with too many teeth and no affection for cats - or any others that I know of. Which is why dealing with them is completely against company policy. But we're going to have to make an exception, because there's a hungry void hunting me, and the sorcerer's losing patience … A Menace of Mermaids: I'm not saying the entire magical population of North Yorkshire want us dead. Just the majority. Although, we do have a one-eyed pirate captain, a bloodthirsty parrot, and a deeply dodgy mermaid on our side, which may help. The Black Dogs, the kraken cult, and the Sea Witch, on the other hand, might be a bit of a problem …  A Collision of Catastrophes: Leeds has blown straight past dicey and into end times. The necromancers are back and as power-sotted as ever, and this time it's not just a few cats they want dead. It's everyone …  ★★★★★ I LOVE this series, and it just keeps getting better. - Amazon reviewer ★★★★★ These books are full of humor and heart and mystery and magic. - Amazon reviewer ★★★★★ … well written, captivating, entertaining stories that I thoroughly enjoyed! And I am eagerly anticipating my second read through. - Amazon reviewer ★★★★★ … a great read for anyone who enjoys fantasy, unique characters, and well-drawn battle scenes, as well as simply plain good writing. - Amazon reviewer ★★★★★ …an action-packed, edge of your seat type thrill ride. - Amazon reviewer   ⚠ The Gobbelino London series contains some violence, particularly involving magical ne'er-do-wells and interspecies conflict, but none of it is graphic. It contains no sex and only mild language. It does, however, contain blasphemy. ⚠
