Go Close Against the Enemy
THE COLOR OF MURDER
It's the most unpalatable word in the restaurant business -- audit. The IRS has targeted Nick and Julia Lambros, owners of the Oracle Cafe in Delphi, Georgia, and indigestion is just the beginning. A tragedy, born of evil and bigotry, finds the sleuthing husband-and-wife team coming to the aid of April and Davon Folsom, an interracial couple who want their stillborn child buried in the cemetery of April's church. But the predominantly white congregation, led by Deacon Fry, stages a protest at the burial, and the distraught April threatens Fry with a gun. Days later, the deacon is found dead and April is accused of murder.

Thugs, threats and dark secrets add to the menu that gets more dangerous by the moment as Nick and Julia tackle a mystery that makes even an audit seem like a vacation.
