Glade Manor Murder
Superintendent Pollard must shatter the veneer of respectability surrounding members of an upper-class English family from the country, all prime suspects in the mysterious death of their long-time housekeeper.

Glade Manor had been the home of the Morley family since the early nineteenth century. Now it is inhabited by John Morley, his wife, Rose, and Emily Govier, commonly known as Nanky. She has been with the family for many years, first as a nanny, then as a housekeeper. It is, therefore, a considerable shock when Nanky's body is found at the bottom of a quarry in the woods behind the manor.
